WWE veteran Tommy Carlucci believes in three-time champion Trick Williams’ potential.

After making waves on the NXT roster, Williams was officially signed to the SmackDown brand on the January 2, 2026, episode of Friday Night SmackDown. He made his main roster debut the following week in a singles match against Rey Fenix.

Williams also delivered an impressive performance in the Royal Rumble match on January 31, entering at No. 10. During the match, he eliminated Mr. Iguana and El Grande Americano I before eventually being eliminated by Cody Rhodes.

WWE Has A Gem, And It Is Trick Williams

On a recent edition of The Coach and Bro Show, Carlucci addressed a major issue that WWE is currently facing, and that is the lack of true megastars like Kevin Nash, Kurt Angle, and Triple H.

Big Tommy C added that he sees tremendous potential in Trick Williams and believes he could become a “big-time player” in the Stamford-based promotion. However, he emphasized that WWE must play its cards right in order to turn him into a true megastar.

There is some potential to some guys here. I really like Trick Williams. I think Trick could be a really big-time player, but he’s got to be able to do it and be taught the right way and build him the right way. You just throw him, you don’t throw him in a championship match or anything that you build him right.

He’s got all the potential. He’s got the rap. He’s got the look. Guys like him, Carmello Hayes, we have some talent here that in the WWE that could be potential to get to that level. But where does it come from? Creative. (From 44:35)
