AEW Star Bringing Hell With Them After Serious Injury

Powerhouse Hobbs Jon Moxley AEW

One AEW star has undergone surgery after suffering a serious injury but has now sent a warning to his rivals for when they return.

On the April 24th episode of AEW Dynamite, Powerhouse Hobbs took on Jon Moxley, bidding to win the IWGP Heavyweight Championship. When all was said and done, it was Moxley who retained the gold after choking out Don Callis’ charge. But things seemed to be much worse for Hobbs than just losing the match.

During the final stages of the match, Hobbs was noticeably limping and fans were unsure whether he was simply selling, or genuinely hurt. Unfortunately, the former TNT Champion was hurt and was forced to undergo surgery as a result.

Powerhouse Hobbs Puts AEW Roster On Notice

Taking to social media, Powerhouse Hobbs vowed to come back better than ever and issued a dark warning for the rest of the AEW roster for when he eventually returns:

Not sure what to say. Injuries happen and we deal with them. We recalibrate, we rebuild, we reinvent. The real test is the comeback. I’ve been told I’ll come back like nothing ever happened.

So, why do I feel so angry right now? Why do I feel so disappointed? It’s because that’s all bulls**t. Nobody comes back the same after any injury. The only choice is to come back BETTER.

As I sit here on this Island of Darkness, I have thousands of questions running through my mind nonstop. The doctors tell me not to worry. Just HEAL and RECOVER. They have no idea that this is nothing compared to the hell I’ve been through. Just rest assured when I come back that I’m bringing Hell with me. – Will Hobson
