WWE Star Suffers Freak Accident Injury

A WWE superstar is out of action after reportedly suffering a “freak accident” during a match.

Eddy Thorpe is a WWE NXT superstar who has been considered a rising star since arriving as a popular star with the fans. Thorpe hasn’t been seen for several weeks and there is a new update about what happened to him.

It has been reported by Fightful Select that Thorpe has recently returned to the ring after a lengthy absence. Thorpe was out of action since his NXT Underground match with Dijak last December. Fightful has noted that Thorpe suffered a hip injury during that match with Dijak and it was considered a “freak accident” by a source on the NXT production team.

Thorpe was cleared to return by late February-early Match and has wrestled on NXT live events as well as the NXT Level Up show on Peacock/WWE Network.

As for what’s next, it is expected that Thorpe will return to main NXT programming in the near future.

The aforementioned NXT Underground Match between Thorpe and Dijak took place on the final WWE NXT broadcast of 2023 on December 26th. Thorpe got the win in that match with the Manifest Destiny DDT off the steel steps through the commentary table.

Dijak Calls Eddy Thorpe A Future WWE Champion

As mentioned above, a man who wrestled Thorpe a lot in NXT is Dijak. The veteran Dijak praised Thorpe on social media by saying he was destined to be a champion and belongs in main events.
