1994 – The groundbreaking ‘When World’s Collide’ PPV took place at the Los Angeles Sports Arena. Whilst on the surface this was a AAA show (the only one to ever take place in the United States), it was a co-production between that group as well as WCW and Puerto Rico’s IWC. The most famous match on the card saw El Hijo Del Santo and Octagon defeat Los Gringos Loco (Eddie Guerrero and ‘The Love Machine’ Art Barr) in a 2/3 falls match.

1998 – At an ECW TV taping in New York City, The Dudley Boyz (Duh Buh Ray and D-Von) won their 5th ECW Tag Team Championship by defeating Balls Mahoney and Masato Tanaka. The win saw them overtake Public Enemy as having the most reigns in company history. Their record would ultimately stretch to eight reigns before they left the company in 1999.

2000 – On Monday Night Raw, The Goodfather and Bull Buchanan of Right To Censor defeated The Hardy Boyz to win the WWF Tag Team Championship

2002 – Jerry Lynn defeats AJ Styles to win the TNA X-Division Championship at a TV taping in Nashville, Tennessee.

2003 – Mike Lockwood, best known to fans as Crash Holly, passed away at the age of 32.

2005 – Joey Styles was surprisingly unveiled as the new lead play-by-play announced on Monday Night Raw. He would keep the role until May 2006.

2006 – Christopher Daniels won the X-Divison title at a TNA Impact taping in Orlando. He defeated Chris Sabin and AJ Styles in a three-way dance.

2006 – On Raw, Johnny Nitro defeated Jeff Hardy to win the Intercontinental Championship in a No Disqualification match.

2012 – Linda McMahon loses her race to be elected to the US Senate. She lost to rival Chris Murphy in an election for the Connecticut seat. Murphy polled 55% with McMahon gaining 43% of the votes cast.

2017 On Monday Night Raw in Manchester, England, The Bar (Sheamus & Cesaro) defeated Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose to win the Raw Tag Team Championship. On the same show, Pete Dunne made his WWE main roster debut with a win over Enzo Amore.

2020On SmackDown, Carmella made her return to WWE by attacking Sasha Banks after she had defended the blue brand’s Women’s Championship against Bayley.
