1997 – In his televised WCW debut, Perry Saturn defeated Disco Inferno to win the TV Title on Nitro.

1998 – In one of the greatest upsets in American political history, Jesse ‘The Body’ Ventura was elected as Governor of Minnesota.

2001 – WWF Rebellion, a UK-only PPV took place at the MEN Arena in Manchester. In the main event, Steve Austin retained the WWF Championship against The Rock.

2003 – In Yokohama, Japan, Hiroyoshi Tenzan defeated Yoshihiro Takayama to win the IWGP Heavyweight Championship.

2008 – In a steel cage match on Raw, Chris Jericho defeated Batista to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

2014 – On Raw, Rusev defeated Sheamus to win the United States Championship. WWE Chairman Vince McMahon also made a surprise appearance on the show.
