1985 – NWA Starrcade: The Gathering took place across two venues. Matches alternated between The Omni in Atlanta, Georgia and The Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina. In the Greensboro main event, The Rock and Roll Express defeated Ivan and Nikita Koloff in a Steel Cage match to win the NWA World Tag Team Championship. In The Omni’s headliner, we saw arguably the most prominent ‘Dusty Finish’ in wrestling history when Dusty Rhodes defeated Ric Flair in an NWA World Heavyweight Title match after initially looking like he had won the belt before the decision was changed.

2016On an episode of Raw from Charlotte, North Carolina, Sasha Banks captured the WWE Raw Women’s Championship from Charlotte Flair in a Falls Count Anywhere match.

2018 At the NXT TV tapings from Full Sail University, Johnny Gargano defeated Aleister Black in a Steel Cage match.
