1981 – Dusty Rhodes defeated Harley Race in Atlanta, Georgia to win the NWA World Heavyweight Championship.

1985 – Hulk Hogan retained the WWF World Heavyweight Title against Don Muraco in an “Eggnog” match in the main event of a WWF house show at New York City’s Madison Square Garden.

1993 – On WWF Monday Night Raw from Poughkeepsie, New York, Razor Ramon faced The 1-2-3 Kid in a rematch of the famous upset victory in the Manhattan Center five weeks earlier on Raw. Ramon put up a $10,000 cash prize if the Kid accepted the rematch. The match ended in a no-contest after the Kid ran out of the venue with a bag brought to the ring by Ramon containing the $10,000. Also Marty Jannetty defeated Doink The Clown in a 2 out of 3 Falls match, and on the following taped edition Intercontinental Champion Shawn Michaels defeated Kamala in a non-title match.

1995 – At a WCW Saturday Night taping in Atlanta, Georgia, Dick Slater and Bunkhouse Buck defeated Harlem Heat (Booker T & Stevie Ray) to win the WCW World Tag Team Championship.

1999 – On the go home edition of Monday Night Raw before King of the Ring from Memphis , Tennessee, The Rock defeated Edge, and Stone Cold Steve Austin pinned the Big Boss Man. Also Mr McMahon & Shane McMahon’s tag team match with Gerald Brisco & Pat Patterson ended in a no-contest. WWF Champion The Undertaker picked up a disqualification win over Triple H in the main event.

2001 – The first ever episode of WWE’s Tough Enough reality show airs on MTV. In that first season, the rookies were coached by Tazz, Tori, Al Snow and Jacqueline. The series was eventually won by Maven Huffman and Nidia Guenard.

2005 – Rey Mysterio beat Eddie Guerrero in the main event of the Smackdown taping Tuscon, Arizona.

2009 – At TNA Slammiversary from The Palace of Auburn Hills in Detroit, Michigan Kurt Angle became the TNA World Heavyweight Champion in a “King of the Mountain” five way match with AJ Styles, Jeff Jarrett, Mick Foley, and Samoa Joe. Also, Beer Money Inc Bobby Roode & James Storm defeated Team 3D Brother Devon & Bubba Ray for the TNA World Tag Team titles. This event also featured another King of the Mountain match where the TNA X Division Championship was defended successfully by then reigning champion Suicide over Consequences Creed, Jay Lethal, Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley.

2013 – At FEW Welcome to the Rumble 2 John Morrison defeated Carlito for the FEW Heavyweight Championship.

2014 – Two titles changed hands at NJPW’s Dominion 6.21 in Osaka, Japan. Firstly The Timesplitters (Alex Shelley & KUSHIDA) defeated The Young Bucks to win the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship. In the main event, Bad Luck Fale won the IWGP Intercontinental Championship from Shinsuke Nakamura.

2016 – WWE announced that Roman Reigns had been suspended for 30 days due to a violation of their Wellness Policy protocols.

2018 – The Undisputed Era, Kyle O’Reilly & Roderick Strong, defeated Moustache Mountain (Trent Seven & Tyler Bate) for the NXT Tag Team Titles at the NXT TV tapings from Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida.
