1987 – Jim Crockett Promotions officially acquired the operations of the Bill Watts owned Mid-South Wrestling/UWF, ending the 8 year run of the organisation as an independent entity.

2000 – ECW Champion Mike Awesome signs with WCW. This begins a chain of events that sees Awesome become public enemy number one in the eyes of everyone associated with ECW. He eventually lost the title to Tazz a few weeks after his WCW debut. This marked a totally unique occurrence when a WCW contracted wrestler faced a WWE contracted star (Tazz) on an ECW show.

2001 – In Tokyo, Scott Norton lost the IWGP Heavyweight Championship to Kazuyuki Fujita.

2011 – Adam Cole defeated Sami Callihan in the final of the CZW ‘Best Of The Best’ tournament in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

2019 – The Hardy Boyz defeated The Usos to win the SmackDown Tag Team Championship on an episode of SmackDown Live from The Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
