WWE’s Blake Monroe Says Mariah May Got Perfect Ending In AEW
During a recent appearance at the WWE 2K26 Creator Fest, Blake Monroe spoke with Denise Salcedo about her Mariah May AEW character.
Monroe reflected on the character, acknowledging that Mariah May’s story officially ended when she was “killed off,” and it was the perfect ending for that story.
Monroe added that now her focus is on building something completely new as she begins the next chapter of her career in WWE.
I give 110% to everything I do, and I’m so passionate about wrestling, but also that taught me how to make people feel something, and the way people still care so much, it means you did a good job. So, I feel like I’m constantly like, okay, how can I make people feel something? How can I make them care?
Whether it’s a short comedy thing or whether it’s a chance to have a year and a half long feud. And, you know, our dearly beloved friend Mariah did pass away. She got killed off at the end there, but it felt like the perfect end for her and her story and her impact on people. And now we start something new. (From 1:48)
