WWE Hall Of Famer Would “Love” To Be In AEW

A WWE Hall Of Famer has made it clear that, if the opportunity were to come up, he would love to work with Tony Khan and All Elite Wrestling.

Six-time WWE Tag Team Champion The Road Dogg hit famous heights in WWE as a member of D-Generation X. He also formed The New Age Outlaws alongside Billy Gunn, and once his in-ring career ended he started working backstage as part of Triple H’s NXT regime.

Having been released by WWE in January 2022, there has been speculation on whether The Road Dogg will reunite with Gunn in some capacity with AEW. Speaking on Insight With Chris Van Vliet, he spoke of the friends he has in the company and how he would love to work there if the opportunity arose.

I’d love to do that, I’d love to work with promo guys backstage at AEW because it is new talent. Well, half of it is NXT talent I’ve worked with in the past, but it is a new challenge. I do have a good friend that works there, Daniel Bryan, or Bryan Danielson there now.

Continuing on, The Road Dogg noted that he hasn’t yet made it to an AEW show due to a recent change of plans, but would love to help new stars with how to cut a successful promo.

I have not been backstage yet, I was looking forward to going to Vegas, but I had to cancel my show there, so I didn’t end up going. But I was looking forward to going, I know all of the producers, but there are a few talents that I don’t know. I would love to try and help them out, I don’t have much else apart from how to cut this promo or ‘Do you want fries with that?’

Billy Gunn has formed a new team in AEW, working alongside his sons Austin and Colton as The Gunn Club. There are also plenty of other faces that The Road Dogg would be familiar with in the company, including the likes of former NXT Champion Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly, and William Regal.
