Updated WWE Crown Jewel Lineup With Nine Official Matches

wwe crown jewel lineup

There are now nine official matches at WWE Crown Jewel following the events of Monday’s Raw in San Francisco. A new match added to the card will see former tag team partners Mansoor and Mustafa Ali facing off in singles action.

The team of Mansoor and Ali did pick up some wins over the last few months, but they were never able to build momentum. Mansoor is a guy that plays to the crowd, enjoys getting cheered and has a lot of fun when he’s in the ring. As for Ali, he’s a lot more jaded due to his experiences in WWE, so he has tried to tell Mansoor not to act the way he’s been acting.

Last night on Raw, Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander made quick work of the Ali/Mansoor team with a victory in about three minutes. After the match, Mansoor tried to pick Ali up, but then Ali shoved Mansoor down and left on his own.

During a backstage scene on Raw, Mansoor was about to be interviewed by Kevin Patrick, but it was interrupted because Mustafa Ali appeared to call Mansoor a giant waste of time. Ali said that he’s trying to help Mansoor survive this place, yet Mansoor wants to dance and make friends. Ali said he was the only one watching Mansoor’s back. Ali told Mansoor he’s a loser, he’s worthless and he is nothing. Mansoor said nothing, so Ali left. Patrick said to Mansoor that must have been hard to hear. Mansoor said he’ll talk to Ali later, but then Ali attacked Mansoor from behind and Ali sent Mansoor into an equipment case. Ali told Mansoor that he is nothing while kicking him repeatedly. Some help finally arrived to check on Mansoor.

After Raw, it was announced that Ali will face Mansoor in a singles match at Crown Jewel. Ali did a promo on Raw Talk saying he was going to embarrass Mansoor.

The 25-year-old Mansoor is from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia which is where Crown Jewel is taking place. He is undefeated on WWE Saudi shows after winning a Battle Royal at Super Showdown 2019, then he defeated Cesaro at Crown Jewel 2019 and at Super Showdown in 2020, he beat Dolph Ziggler in singles action. It’s not a surprise that WWE would put Mansoor in a singles match again because he’s a local favorite that should get a strong reaction from the fans.

The event will also host the finals of two tournaments. The men’s King of the Ring tournament will see the winner of Raw’s Xavier Woods vs. Jinder Mahal match facing off against the winner of Smackdown’s Finn Balor vs. Sami Zayn match. The Smackdown matches take place this Friday while the Raw matches take place next Monday.

On the women’s side, the Queen’s Crown Tournament will see Raw’s Doudrop vs. Shayna Baszler while the Smackdown side is Carmella vs. Zelina Vega.

Crown Jewel will be headlined by Roman Reigns defending the Universal Championship against Brock Lesnar. The event will also feature Big E putting the WWE Title on the line against Drew McIntyre, Becky Lynch defending the Smackdown Women’s Championship against Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks, plus Edge vs. Seth Rollins in a Hell in a Cell Match and Bobby Lashley faces Bill Goldberg in a SummerSlam rematch, this time in a No Holds Barred Match.

The next WWE PPV is Crown Jewel on Thursday, October 21 from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Here’s what we know so far:
