Tony Khan has confirmed the commentary team ahead of AEW Collision’s debut on June 17th!

Back in May, it was announced that AEW would soon be adding a new Saturday night program called Collision to its lineup on TNT. The show’s advent has created plenty of buzz, particularly as it will feature the return of CM Punk for the first time since the controversy following AEW All Out.

While it was assumed that Punk’s name would be central to the announcement of Collision, the star’s name was nowhere to be seen when the show was officially announced as part of the Warner Bros Discovery Upfront. It later emerged that while he was included in the original promotional materials, a wedge had once again been driven between himself and AEW over the return of Ace Steel, who had been fired as a result of the All Out brawl.

However, tensions were resolved, and Tony Khan announced on May 31st that Punk would indeed be returning on Collision’s debut episode on June 17th, emanating from the United Center in Chicago, IL. The next week, Khan announced that Punk would be wrestling in the main event of the show, teaming with FTR to take on the team of Jay White, Juice Robinson, and ROH TV Champion Samoa Joe.

Now, the AEW President has once again taken to social media with more information about Collision, revealing that the commentary team for the show will consist of Nigel McGuinness, Kevin Kelly, and WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross.

“#AEWCollision debuts TOMORROW NIGHT on @TNTdrama at 8pm ET/7pm CT at the @UnitedCenter in Chicago! We’re going to have a great announce team on Saturday Nights with your new weekly commentary team @realkevinkelly + @McGuinnessNigel, joined by expert analysis from legend @JRsBBQ!”
