Sol Ruca Secures Huge NXT Women’s Championship Opportunity at Vengeance Day

The NXT Interim General Manager, Robert Stone, has been doing a commendable job since being given the position by Shawn Michaels a few weeks back, and he took arguably his biggest decision tonight.

The NXT Women’s Championship picture has become incredibly messy following Zaria and Sol Ruca’s breakup, as both women want to go after the championship currently held by Jacy Jayne.

Sol Ruca was set for the title match two weeks ago, but Zaria turned on her friend, costing her the title match against Jayne. Last week Jayne defended the title against Zaria, but Ruca interfered and the match had to be thrown out.

NXT Women’s Championship match to take place in two weeks

The three women made their way out to the ring tonight and began arguing about a shot the NXT Women’s Championship. Robert Stone, who was present in the ring, then made his huge decision on the show.

Stone announced that Jacy Jayne will defend her title on the March 17, 2026 episode of WWE NXT when the promotion heads to Houston, Texas. Jayne will face both Sol Ruca and Zaria in a triple threat match for the championship at the show.
