Top WWE Star Says There’s “No Rush” To Feud With Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns is the top guy in WWE while one top star says he isn’t in any rush for a showdown with The Tribal Chief.

A rivalry with Roman Reigns is something all WWE superstars likely want to have due to the status of “The Tribal Chief,” but the current Intercontinental Champion is okay with that match not happening any time soon.

While Roman Reigns is closing in on 1000 days as the WWE Universal Champion that also holds the WWE Championship to be called the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, the Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER doesn’t think they should have a match any time soon.

Ever since he joined the WWE main roster in April 2022, all GUNTHER has done is win. He won the Intercontinental in June 2022 and for nearly one year, he has beaten everybody put in front of him. That includes former WWE World/Universal Champions like Sheamus, Drew McIntyre, Braun Strowman, Rey Mysterio and plenty of others.

In an interview with Mike Jones on DC101, GUNTHER was asked about a possible match/feud with Roman Reigns.

“I think there’s no rush with that. I think he’s doing his thing right now and I’m very focused on doing my thing. I didn’t really have an urge to seek out that confrontation yet but, like you said, down the line it’s one of the matches fans are looking forward to.”

This coming Saturday, May 27th at WWE Night of Champions, GUNTHER will defend the Intercontinental Title against Mustafa Ali.

Meanwhile, Roman Reigns will not defend the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship and instead will team up with Solo Sikoa against the WWE Tag Team Champions Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens as Reigns looks to add more championships to his collection.
