Roman Reigns reacts to CM Punk’s WWE Elimination Chamber victory.

The Second City Saint put his World Heavyweight Championship on the line at Elimination Chamber, which took place in his hometown of Chicago on February 28. He faced Finn Balor in an intense 20-and-a-half-minute match and successfully defeated the Judgement Day member to retain his World Heavyweight Championship.

Following Punk’s Elimination Chamber victory, his rival took to Twitter to react and take a shot at him and his hometown crowd. The Tribal Chief then claimed that Punk will remain champion for only a month, because he is confident that he’ll beat him for the title at WrestleMania 42 on April 18-19.

“Not sure who looked more tired — the crowd or the champion. Enjoy this final month of relevancy.”

CM Punk Responds To Roman Reigns’ Jab

Moments later, CM Punk clapped back at Roman Reigns during the Elimination Chamber post-show. He said.

He’s got time to tweet, but he doesn’t have time to come to Chicago. Listen, Roman Reigns, second-highest arena gate in company history. And you’re not number one either, 19,346 people showed up in Chicago because I’m a fighting champion. And I will travel to Las Vegas.

And yeah, I’m gonna be tired, and yeah, I’m gonna be beat up, and I’m gonna be bandaged. But that keeps me sharp, on the edge, where I need to be. And for me, the action is the juice. You can sit at home, and we’re gonna call you Rusty Reigns when you show up in Las Vegas. And I got a GTS for you and every one of your stupid family members.

Reigns won this year’s Men’s Royal Rumble match to punch his ticket to WrestleMania 42. On Raw, he chose CM Punk as his WrestleMania opponent and challenged him for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Reigns and Punk are bitter rivals, and Reigns made it clear that the reason he chose Punk as his WrestleMania opponent, and not Drew McIntyre, was because of his intense hatred for Punk.
