Liv Morgan To Main Event WWE WrestleMania 42?
By winning the 2026 Women’s Royal Rumble match, Liv Morgan booked herself a spot at WrestleMania 42.
As the winner of the Rumble match, Morgan has the advantage of picking the women’s champion she would like to face at The Showcase of the Immortals.
Over the last couple of weeks, she has kept her cards close to her chest while measuring her next move carefully. She even attended two consecutive tapings of SmackDown to assess Jade Cargill, who is the champion on the blue brand.
The Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer, meanwhile, managed to get the best of Liv Morgan on the latest edition of Raw by interrupting an interview and leaving her potential challenger teary-eyed.
The 31-year-old Morgan will name her WrestleMania 42 opponent on the upcoming episode of the red brand.
Could Liv Morgan Main Event WrestleMania 42?
Since its premiere in 1985, WrestleMania has witnessed only two main event matches with female performers.
The first instance occurred in 2019 when Becky Lynch, Ronda Rousey, and Charlotte Flair competed in a Winner Takes All match, with Rousey and Flair serving as the Raw and SmackDown champions, respectively. Lynch won the bout to win both titles.
Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair main-evented Night 1 of WrestleMania 37 in 2021, where Belair defeated Banks to become the SmackDown Women’s Champion.
Liv Morgan hopes to add her name to the list of female WrestleMania main-eventers this April.
While speaking on the Good Karma Wrestling podcast, she explained why she could headline The Show of Shows in 2026.
Because I am the most talked-about, the hottest, the most iconic, the most talented, the most charismatic WWE superstar of all time. I worked 11 years to scratch and claw for an opportunity to win the Royal Rumble and I finally did. I am the bride, I’m no longer the bridesmaid.
So, now, I am in a very powerful position where I can pick anyone I want heading into WrestleMania, and I’m not taking that lightly. I’m not gonna rush it. I’m gonna make the best decision for me and I’m going to be the most talked about heading into WrestleMania, which is why I’m going to main event WrestleMania because I’m going to be that undeniable that they’re gonna have no choice.
