Latest Update On Sasha Banks Saga

Sasha Banks

With rumours doing the rounds regarding Sasha Banks’ WWE status, a new report has shed more light on the situation, contradicting what was previously thought.

Former Raw and SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks hasn’t been seen in WWE since she and her tag team partner Naomi walked out of Monday Night Raw on May 16th. The two were last seen on WWE television on the May 13th episode of SmackDown. At the time, the two were said to be frustrated by creative decisions that reportedly would have seen Naomi win a six-pack challenge and go on to face Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Championship at Hell in a Cell.

On that night, WWE released a statement that labeled the women as unprofessional, and Corey Graves made it clear on the broadcast that they had “summarily and unprofessionally walked out.” The company also removed all merchandise related to the women from their online shop and stripped the two of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.

Since then rumours have swirled over Banks’ future while Naomi’s contract with the company is thought to expire this summer. Reports have emerged to say that Sasha Banks had been released by the company with some suggestions that a deal between the two parties was done a few weeks ago.

However, now Mike Johnson of PWInsider has reported that is not the case. Johnson says that both Sasha Banks and Naomi are still listed on the WWE roster internally and that neither woman has been released from their deals.
