The Dogs’ feud with Adam Copeland and Christian Cage began after AEW Double Or Nothing, where the veteran won the World Tag Team Titles from FTR.

Both Cope and Cage intended to celebrate their first tag team title win in the company by revisiting their 5-second flash photography gimmick. However, they were blindsided by David Finlay and Clark Connors, who executed a severe beatdown on the Canadian friends.

The last couple of weeks saw both teams take shots at each other, especially behind-the-scenes, turning their rivalry even more personal.

Jay White Returns To Help Cope & Cage At AEW Forbidden Door

The Dogs kicked off their AEW Forbidden Door appearance by taking out a couple of technicians on their way out, which has become their shtick.

While Cope and Cage had the upper hand in the early goings, David Finlay and Clark Connors secured the advantage after Cage inadvertently hurt his already injured arm.

The heel duo continued to work on Cage’s left arm, hitting a series of moves to keep him down. At one point, Connors even lit a matchstick to Cage’s forehead when the referee’s back was turned to him.

Adam Copeland managed to help Cage to win a hot tag before proceeding to beat up the younger duo. The Dogs regained the advantage by taking out Copeland with a combination of a chop block and a spear.

Later, the referee got taken out, giving the competitors a free hand to act illegally.

After Finlay took Cage out with the shillelagh, the lights went out. The Bang Bang Gang appeared at the entrance, but it was Jay White’s return that changed the complexion of the fight.

The leader of the Bang Bang Gang took out Finlay, allowing Copeland to level Finlay with a spear for the win.
