2-Time Champion May Cost Drew McIntyre WWE Title On SmackDown
Drew McIntyre is scheduled to put his WWE Undisputed Championship on the line against Cody Rhodes on the February 6 episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
Randy Orton won the men’s Elimination Chamber match and is set to challenge the champion at WrestleMania 42. If Cody Rhodes defeats Drew this Friday, the WrestleMania main event would shift to Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton.
Jacob Fatu Could Cost Drew McIntyre His Title On WWE SmackDown
Following the events of Elimination Chamber, Sam Roberts released an emergency Notsam Wrestling podcast reviewing the premium live event. Roberts predicted that McIntyre could lose his title on SmackDown this week due to potential interference from 2-time Champion, Jacob Fatu.
He added that this could lead to Jacob Fatu vs. Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 42, while Randy Orton faces Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship in Las Vegas.
If you just want singles matches, I think that you could easily go Jacob Fatu makes sure that Drew McIntyre loses. Jacob Fatu comes out, and all he has to do is trip him or hit him with something. Maybe he does it in a way that Cody doesn’t see it. Just a little distraction, and that’s all Cody needs to beat Drew McIntyre.
And then you can go to WrestleMania with Jacob Fatu versus Drew McIntyre. Two guys absolutely furious with each other and you can do a WWE Championship match between Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes. Now you’ve got your Randy, Cody, Drew, and Jacob all taken care of. (From 7:22 to 8:05)
