Destination Of WWE WrestleMania 42 Decided
Plans are already in place for WWE WrestleMania 42.
On April 19 and 20, WWE will head to Las Vegas for WrestleMania 41. This is despite the event seemingly being destined to be held in Minneapolis, Minnesota before a relatively late change was made. The city has since been awarded SummerSlam 2026.
At WrestleMania, Jey Uso will challenge Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship after winning the Royal Rumble. Meanwhile, Charlotte Flair, who won the women’s Rumble match, will also challenge for championship gold.
The spectacular will be John Cena’s last WrestleMania as an in-ring competitor before he retires at the end of 2025.
While WrestleMania 41 is yet to take place, plans are already in place for the 2026 edition of the event.
WWE WrestleMania 42 Heading To Familiar Location
According to a new report from Wrestle Votes, WrestleMania 42 will be held in New Orleans, in the Superdome.
Sources indicate WWE is planning on announcing WrestleMania 42’s location prior to this year’s event, with the highly speculated New Orleans, LA, as the host city. The Superdome (Silverdome, brother)—home of WM 30 & 34—is set to host its third Mania in 2026.
According to a follow-up from Fightful Select, the plan for a New Orleans WrestleMania in 2026 has been the plan for several years, going to back to Vince McMahon’s time running the company. However, given the changes made to the location of WrestleMania 41, some wondered whether these plans would be changed.
Some of WWE’s partners had already been made of the plans for 2026.
Fightful added that those they’ve spoken to within the company have earned not to expect a WrestleMania in the UK or Saudi Arabia before 2028.
