Cody Rhodes Makes Huge Promise About WWE WrestleMania 42 Match
Earlier this year, Las Vegas, Nevada, was announced as the host of WrestleMania 42 for a second consecutive year.
Being one of the top stars in WWE, Cody Rhodes expects to appear on the roster, hopefully still as the champion.
The event will take place on April 18 and 19, giving the Stamford promotion enough time to set up storylines and find a suitable opponent for The American Nightmare.
Meanwhile, fans were able to purchase the tickets for the show after WWE made them available recently.
Elsewhere, Cody Rhodes appeared on the All the Smoke podcast, speaking about getting a match at The Grandest Stage of Them All.
He also promised a different result as compared to WrestleMania 41, where he not only lost his match to John Cena but also dropped his championship.
Last year at a record-setting WrestleMania in Allegiant Stadium, lovingly nicknamed ‘The Death Star’… I lost. So we’ll go right off the cuff and say, you come to WrestleMania 42, I will not be losing.
Cody Rhodes Confirms Ending Wrestling Career In WWE
Cody Rhodes is in his second stint with the Stamford promotion.
He had earlier quit the company and formed AEW, which he left in 2022 and returned to WWE.
Since then, he has been featured in top storylines and is in his second championship reign.
During the podcast, Rhodes also acknowledged his difficulty in balancing his private and professional life, having become a parent for the second time not long ago.
He then confirmed that the next contract he signs with WWE would be his last.
My last contract with WWE or the next contract I sign, probably be my last, and finish my days with WWE. It’s the house that built me. It’s the house that brought me back and put me in this wonderful, wonderful position but yeah, I don’t know. It’s very, very hard to balance.
Rhodes defeated Drew McIntyre at Saturday Night’s Main Event XLI to retain his Undisputed WWE Championship.
