Chris Jericho has joined many of his fellow wrestlers from around the world in paying tribute to the late Bray Wyatt.

On August 25th, Jericho and his band Fozzy had a concert at the O2 Forum Kentish Town. Between songs, Jericho took the opportunity to pay tribute to Wyatt, who passed away suddenly from a heart attack on August 24th.

Jericho began talking about his experience wrestling against and working with Wyatt and lauded the late wrestler for his creativity. But it wasn’t long before the crowd in attendance took over and began singing Wyatt’s famous line “he’s got the whole world in his hands.”

After giving the fans a moment to get that song out, Jericho got the chance to conclude his tribute.

“So thanks to Windham. Thanks to you guys for remembering him. And we dedicate this show to him, and we dedicate this show on Sunday, so remember the late, great Windham Rotunda.”

How has the wrestling world reacted to Bray Wyatt’s passing?

Numerous colleagues of Wyatt’s, both current and former, have posted tributes and comments to show their support for his family in this difficult time. Some of these have included Seth Rollins, John Cena, Alexa Bliss, Braun Strowman, Dwayne Johnson, LA Knight, and many more.

Because of the suddenness of his passing, WWE changed all of their plans for the August 25th edition of SmackDown and turned it into a tribute episode, similar to what was done for Eddy Guerrero back in 2005. Additionally, WWE announced that all net proceeds of Bray Wyatt merchandise would go to his family.

Bray Wyatt was off TV since January 2023 and stopped wrestling at live events a month later after developing some heart issues stemming from a COVID infection. He was originally believed to be making inroads for an in-ring return when he suffered a heart attack and passed away at 36 years old. He leaves behind a wife and four children, including two from a previous marriage.
