The Rock Pays Tribute To Bray Wyatt

Bray Wyatt cuts a promo

Dwayne Johnson was a fan of Bray Wyatt’s and took the time to show his appreciation for all the man did during his career.

Bray Wyatt and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson only had one major televised interaction. Said interaction took place at WrestleMania 32 in 2016 during The Rock’s big celebration of WrestleMania 32 allegedly having an attendance record of over 100,000.

Wyatt and his Family members Eric Rowan and Braun Strowman were upset that they were not included on the WrestleMania card and so they decided to take their frustrations out on The Rock. But their plans failed when Rock beat Rowan in six seconds.

Moments later, Rowan recovered the entire Wyatt Family tried to beat up The Rock three-on-one, only for John Cena to make a surprise appearance and fend them off with his former foe.

Although the segment didn’t do Wyatt any favors, he still had a fan in The Rock who, like many people, has taken to social media to pay tribute to Wyatt following his sudden passing.

“Im heartbroken over the news of Bray Wyatt’s passing. Always had tremendous respect and love for him and the Rotunda family.

Loved his presence, promos, in ring work and connection with @wwe universe. Very unique, cool and rare character, which is hard to create in our crazy world of pro wrestling.

Still processing losing the goat, Terry Funk yesterday and now Bray today. My love, light, strength & mana to the Rotunda family and Funk family during this tough, heartbreaking time.

As always, ‘thank you for the house’

Bray Wyatt joins many other wrestlers great and small to have passed away in 2023

2023 has, unfortunately, been a year filled with wrestlers and wrestling personalities passing away. Some of them were much older such as The Iron Sheik, Jerry Jarrett, Terry Funk, and Bushwacker Butch, who were 81, 80, 79, and 78, respectively.

Others, like Mantaur and Darren Drozdov, were much younger at only 55 and 54, respectively. But Wyatt was the youngest wrestler to pass away so far at only 36.

Based on what little information is available at this time, Bray Wyatt is said to have died from a heart attack which was caused by COVID-related complications.
