Booker T Believes The Ship Has ‘Sailed’ On CM Punk Ever Returning To WWE

Triple H and Booker T

According to Booker T, we won’t ever see CM Punk back in WWE.

WWE Hall of Famer, Booker T doesn’t think fans will see CM Punk back on WWE programming, regardless of his murky status in All Elite Wrestling.

When speaking with WrestlingInc., Booker T explained why believes the ‘polarizing’ comments that Punk has made about WWE has severed his relationship with the company:

“CM Punk has definitely been very polarizing as far as comments about WWE ever since he’s left. So, I think it would be hard, it would be really hard for him just to swallow his pride and go back to that, that monster, that demon that created a lot of these problems that he thinks he has. I think it would be hard on both sides.”

However, while Punk hasn’t appeared on weekly WWE programming in over seven years, ‘The Voice of The Voiceless’ did make several appearances on the FOX Sports 1 program, ‘WWE Backstage’, something Booker T believes was purely a FOX decision, not a WWE one:

“I think FOX really wanted him there. With the ‘SmackDown’ show and FOX being a huge part of that they really wanted to see Punk back in the WWE, but I just think it was a deal that was just really, really hard to make.”

In case you’ve somehow missed it, Punk was involved in a backstage altercation at following this past weekend’s AEW All Out pay-per-view and the latest on the current status of Punk as well as Kenny Omega and Matt and Nick Jackson, who were also involved in the spat, can be found by clicking here.
