Bianca Belair Feels Her Matches With Bayley Aren’t Talked About Enough
When it comes to great rivalries, Bianca Belair feels like her matches with Bayley should be celebrated more than they are.
For over two years, Bianca Belair has been one of the most featured women in all of WWE. During her rise to the top, she faced off against Bayley many times. After Belair beat Sasha Banks at WrestleMania to become Smackdown Women’s Champion in the main event of WrestleMania 37 Saturday, Belair had to contend with Bayley yet again.
Bianca Belair became Raw Women’s Champion for the first time at WrestleMania 38 when she beat Becky Lynch. That title reign saw Belair face Baley many times as well. Belair had a record-long 419-day reign as the Raw Women’s Champion. The title is now known as the WWE Women’s Championship.
During an interview with Denise Salcedo of Instinct Culture, Bianca Belair spoke about the big matches she has had while specifically mentioning that rivalry with Bayley.
“There’s so many because, like you said, I’m very happy with the reputation I’ve built. If you see Bianca Belair in a match, you know it’s going to be a good match with some feats of strength and athleticism.”
“Of course, me main eventing WrestleMania — anybody who is in WWE, their goal is to always main event WrestleMania, and I was able to do that. Also, the work that I’ve done with Becky Lynch, our WrestleMania 38 match, I think was an amazing match.”
“Some matches that I feel like that aren’t talked about enough are the matches that I’ve done with Bayley. Our Hell in a Cell match in front of no audience, if you go back and you watch that match, the creativity, what we did in that match, it was really an amazing match.”
Bianca Belair Has A Huge Match At SummerSlam
In one week’s time, Bianca Belair will be part of a big WWE Women’s Title match between the champion Asuka as well as Charlott Flair and Belair herself. It’s a triple threat match between three of the top women in WWE while there’s also Miss Money in the Bank lurking.
On last night’s Smackdown, Miss Money in the Bank IYO SKY warned Asuka that SKY might choose to cash in the Money in the Bank briefcase at SummerSlam. It’s something Asuka will have to think about as well as Belair and Flair because SummerSlam could be a hectic night for the women of SmackDown.
