AJ Lee Set for WWE Women’s IC Title Defense Next Week on RAW

AJ Lee recently created history at WWE Elimination Chamber when she faced Becky Lynch for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship in her adopted hometown of Chicago, Illinois.

AJ and Becky have been feuding with each other since Lee made her long-awaited return to the company, and she defeated Becky in her first singles match in over a decade to become only the fourth woman to hold the Women’s IC Championship.

Following her win, AJ Lee appeared on Monday Night RAW last week and confirmed that she plans on being a fighting champion and wants to defend her championship regularly.

After AJ had made her comments, a number one contender’s gauntlet match was announced for tonight’s show. The match was ultimately won by Bayley, who defeated Asuka in the end to become AJ Lee’s first challenger.

It was later confirmed that Bayley and AJ will compete for the championship on next week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, making the episode a must-see one for the WWE Universe.
