WWE Storyline Mysteriously Abandoned

WWE NXT was full of surprises but it seems one storyline that was in full swing on the brand has been quietly dropped.

NXT General Manager Ava promised to reveal Roxanne Perez’s challenger for her NXT Women’s Championship at Battleground and few could have predicted what was to come next. Ava introduced current TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace as Perez’s opponent with reports suggesting WWE and TNA’s relationship is set to continue.

There was more surprises to come on the show as Lash Legend confronted NXT Champion Trick Williams about the attacks to her Meta-Four partners Noam Dar and Oro Mensah. The lights went out before Williams could reply and when they came back on former AEW star Ethan Page blindsided Trick Williams before revealing he was the one behind the other attacks.

No Reason Given For WWE Giving Up On Storyline

Fightful Select has now reported that one storyline that had been running in recent weeks between Gigi Dolin and Arianna Grace has now been dropped. Dolin was not even in attendance at the most recent NXT tapings while Grace appeared on the show as her mouth got her into trouble with Lola Vice.

There was no reason given for the storyline between Dolin and Grace being abandoned but Dolin has not competed since losing to Grace in March allowing Miss NXT to give the former Toxic Attraction star a makeover. Two vignettes aired of that process but they haven’t appeared on TV together since.
