Ex-AEW Star Makes Stunning WWE Debut

Tony Khan AEW

Trick Williams had been accused of attacking his fellow NXT stars backstage but it turns out there was a former AEW star to blame all along.

NXT Champion Trick Williams had been accused of attacking Meta-Four’s Noam Dar and Oro Mensah. That caused some friction with Williams’ real-life girlfriend Lash Legend who is also a part of Dar’s group but it turns out Williams was innocent after all.

On the 28th of May edition of NXT, Lash Legend confronted Trick Williams in the ring about the attacks as she tried to get to the truth of the matter. However, the lights soon went out and when they came back on Williams was wiped out by former AEW star Ethan Page.

Vic Joseph and Booker T on commentary were shocked when they realised who was in the ring with Joseph almost name-dropping AEW before being conveniently cut off by the WWE Hall of Famer.

Ethan Page Leaves AEW Behind

In recent weeks, Ethan Page had indicated publicly that he was heading towards free agency as his AEW deal came to an end. Page’s most notable time in Tony Khan’s company came when he was a part of The Men of the Year tag team with Scorpio Sky and they teamed up with Dan Lambert and his American Top Team.

Page is not the only ex-AEW star to make the jump to NXT in recent months with Shawn Spears returning to WWE with a shock debut back in February 2024.
