WWE Star Returns To The Ring After 1 Year Out

After a year on the shelf with a serious injury, one WWE star has now returned to action in a match on Raw.

On Raw in Ottawa, following Money In The Bank, IYO SKY and Lyra Valkyria came face-to-face again in a big six-woman tag team match that pitted SKY, Dakota Kai, and Kairi Sane against Valkyria, Katana Chance, and Kayden Carter.

The Damage CTRL trio won the match but that victory would be overshadowed by what was to come. Shayna Baszler, Zoey Stark, and Sonya Deville rushed the ring, attacking anything that moved to stand tall.

For weeks, Deville has approached Baszler and Stark about teaming up but the pair had seemed reluctant to do so. In a backstage segment, however, the three women confirmed their union going forward.

Sonya Deville Back In A WWE Match

Now for the first time in almost a year, Sonya Deville was back in action in a WWE ring. Raw in Dayton, Ohio saw Deville compete in her first match since the 28th of July 2023 edition of SmackDown where she was badly injured. Her return to the ring saw Deville pick up a quick win over Zelina Vega but she had more than a little help from her new stablemates at ringside.

As Baszler, Deville, and Stark swarmed after the match, Lyra Valkyria, Kayden Carter and Katana Chance all rushed to the ring to stop them from doing any more damage to Vega. Later in the night, Baszler and Stark defeated Chance and Carter in a tag team match to further assert the new trio’s dominance on Monday nights.
