WWE Star “Not Mad” At Adam Copeland For AEW Switch

Adam Copeland

One WWE star has had their say on Adam Copeland’s defection to AEW.

Adam Copeland is best known to WWE fans as Edge but the star shocked the wrestling world on the 1st of October when he made his debut appearance in AEW at the end of WrestleDream. Copeland laid out Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne following Christian Cage retaining his TNT Championship and he has since stated his desire to end his career back by the side of his best friend Cage. Something Cage is somewhat reluctant to accept to say the very least.

Booker T “The last one to hate” Adam Copeland’s decision

Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Copeland’s WrestleMania 18 opponent and NXT announcer Booker T gave his blessing to Adam Copeland’s decision to start fresh in AEW and finish his career with his longtime best friend:

“Personally, I’m not mad at him because I understand how this business is… You want to finish it the way you do, and being able to finish it with Christian (Cage)… I was reading somewhere that it was his dream to be able to finish his career with Christian, the way he started it. I get it, man.

“At the end of the day, it isn’t the money – the money is great, it’s all great. But you can’t take it with you. The stories, camaraderie, friendships, the memories… man that stuff is priceless.

Everything over there at AEW, everything that Edge is doing with Christian, I’m going to be the last one to hate.”

Adam Copeland will compete in his first match in AEW on the special “Title Tuesday” edition of Dynamite when he takes on Luchasaurus.
