A young tag team duo has fallen on the radar of a WWE star.

NXT’s Jordynne Grace appeared impressed by Je’Von Evans and TNA’s Leon Slater so much so that she likened them to the Hardy Boyz.

On the September 30 taping of the show, the 21-year-olds were featured in a backstage segment, discussing their upcoming clash for the X Division Championship at TNA Bound for Glory on October 12.

They were interrupted by The Culling, with Niko Vance challenging them for a tag match.

While Vance and Shaw Spears outmatched them physically, they would soon discover their opponents’ aerial prowess.

Evans and Slater executed a variety of impressive moves, ranging from springboard attacks to suicide dives and spinning kicks.

Leon Slater picked up a win for his team with an impressive Swanton 450 Splash. For the uninitiated, the move starts with Slater diving head-first from the top rope, before cranking out a somersault rotation and landing on his opponent.

WWE NXT talent Jordynne Grace took to X to share high praise for Evans and Slater, comparing them to the current TNA World Tag Team Champions, the Hardy Boyz.

The Hardy Boyz Return To WWE

The Hardy Boyz are set to return to WWE since their last match at NXT: Roadblock, where they successfully defended the TNA World Tag Team Championship against Fraxiom.

Matt and Jeff Hardy were also spotted attending SummerSlam when the camera panned to them before the 6-team TLC match.

At NXT Showdown, they will face Osiris Griffin and Dion Lennox of Darkstate in a Winner Take All match.

It was also previously decided that the 9-time former WWE Tag Team Champions will wrestle Hall of Famers Bubba Ray Dudley and D-Von Dudley for the last time at Bound for Glory.
