SmackDown saw one WWE star pick up the first main roster win of their career.

SmackDown in Hershey, PA saw the return to a WWE ring of John Cena as the sixteen-time champion of the world announced that he is the host of Payback before getting physical with Jimmy Uso.

It was not a good night, however, for the LWO with four members of the group finding themselves on the losing side of things. Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde took on Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens, with the titleholders picking up the win.

Before that bout, however, US Champion Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar teamed up to face Austin Theory and Grayson Waller in a tag team bout. When all was said and done, however, Grayson Waller picked up the victory for his team with a Rolling Thunder from Down Under on Escobar. That win marked The Aussie Icon’s first on WWE’s main roster. Waller’s last televised win in a WWE match prior to this came on the 11th of April edition of NXT when he won a four-way match for a shot at the NXT Championship.

What else happened on WWE SmackDown?

Jimmy Uso was confronted backstage by AJ Styles after being rude to Mia Yim which led to Solo Sikoa taking on The Phenomenal One in the main event of the show. This bout furthered The Bloodline drama as after Styles lost due to interference from Uso, Sikoa almost hit his older brother with a Samoan Spike only for Paul Heyman to call Sikoa off.

Damage CTRL failed to give Bayley a win against Shotzi as Charlotte Flair helped even the odds allowing Shotzi to pick up one of the biggest wins of her career.
