WWE NXT Releases Expected Imminently

Releases are expected from WWE’s NXT brand soon.

Mass roster cuts have come again to the WWE roster just days after over a hundred employees were laid off by the company following the takeover by Endeavor.

Mustafa Ali was the first star to announce he was no longer part of the company and Emma soon followed. Since then Riddick Moss, Elias, Rick Boogs, Top Dolla, Shelton Benjamin, Aliyah, and former World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler have all either confirmed or have been reported to have been let go.

Now there seems to be more bad news to come for stars on the NXT brand. Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer has noted on social media that “Within WWE it is believed NXT cuts coming around 5 ET.”

Frustration over WWE releases

This latest round of cuts in the company is said to have caused frustration on the roster according to one report for a few reasons. Many of those released weren’t being booked in recent months so had no way to change their situation while there is also the question of timing.

These cuts have come on the same day that WWE announced a billion-dollar deal to take SmackDown from FOX back to the USA Network beginning in the fall of 2024.
