A WWE Hall of Famer recently admitted to missing a few calls from the company.

Torrie Wilson was in the Stamford promotion from 2001 to 2008, when she was released, resulting in her subsequent retirement.

Since then, she has had sporadic appearances, and was added to the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2019, where she was inducted by Stacy Keibler.

Wilson did not win any titles in the company, but was a part of several high profile storylines.

She has admitted to some of them being so controversial that she felt disgusted post-retirement.

During a recent appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show, she discussed her WWE run, sharing insights into her ups and downs.

When asked if she had ignored any potential opportunities, Wilson admitted to not returning a few phone calls.

I honestly don’t know. I do know there…this guy, Mark Carrano, who was in head of talent relations for some time. There were a few phone calls that he had made that I didn’t return closer leading up to like 2016-17. I don’t know what they were for. Maybe they were just for a signing or something. Probably never know, but I wasn’t ready yet to answer that call, but it wasn’t really deliberate. [7:28 onwards]

Torrie Wilson Reveals Why She Retired After WWE Release

Being released from WWE is not the end of the career, as there are alternate promotions that wrestlers can sign with.

However, Torrie Wilson opted to call the curtains on her career at age 32 after she was let go by the Stamford-based company.

At the same interview, she revealed the real reason behind her decision.

When I left wrestling, I had back surgery, and I just kind of was tired of being on the road. I was getting better in the ring and I knew I was going to come back and not be at full capacity, and I didn’t want to hurt myself again. So that’s kind of why I just decided to retire.

She also discussed feeling out of place being in the locker room at the time.
