WWE CCO Triple H Is Allegedly Just A Pawn In A TKO Game
There are bigger powers at play in WWE than Triple H.
On Friday, the Stamford promotion’s Chief Content Officer was in Las Vegas, where he announced that WrestleMania 43 would be held in Saudi Arabia.
This was a monumental announcement, considering the last 41 editions of The Show of Shows were held in North America.
WrestleMania 42 in 2026 will also be held at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The news came as a shock to many wrestling fans given that WWE’s deal with the Kingdom had only started in 2018. Fans have also been miffed with Saudi Arabia due to humanitarian issues that have been previously reported.
One of the company’s former talents, Stevie Richards, discussed the WrestleMania 43 deal on the recent episode of his The Stevie Richards Show podcast.
This Triple H era in which Triple H he’s just a pawn in this entire, excuse the pun, game. TKO, and especially in this case, Saudi Arabia, will use their leverage, will use their influence, will use the power to get what they want. [3:27 onwards]
Fans Not Happy With Triple H And WWE Over WrestleMania Announcement
Wrestling fans in Saudi Arabia reacted positively to Triple H’s announcement about WrestleMania 43 in 2027.
However, the same cannot be said about the followers in Western nations.
Social media was abuzz on Friday after WWE’s official announcement, with fans sharing their thoughts about the show’s new host.
Fans’ reaction was also caught at the WWE-AAA Worlds Collide event in Las Vegas.
During the event, fans in the arena were shown a vignette about the promotion’s WrestleMania announcement, but, as seen in the video below, WWE was treated with boos and a “You Sold Out” chant.
