WWE Confirms New Date For 2026 Money In The Bank
WWE Money in the Bank is one of the most anticipated PLEs every year.
Its titular matches give one male and one female wrestler the life-altering opportunity to challenge for the world championship at the time and place of their choosing.
The Stamford promotion has officially announced the modified date and location of the 2026 MITB event, and it’s coming with an unprecedented change.
In 2026, the WWE Money in the Bank PLE will be held at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans on September 6.
Earlier, Triple H had announced that the event would be held on August 29, 2026.
As for New Orleans, it was initially revealed as the host of WrestleMania 42. However, after scrapping the plan, the company released a video featuring Triple H, announcing that it would take place in Las Vegas, Nevada, for the second year in a row.
The new date of 2026 Money in the Bank also marks the first time that the premium live event takes place after SummerSlam. The previous editions have occurred either in June or July, barring 2019 & 2020, when it took place in May.
Injury Forces WWE To Change Title Match
On WWE NXT, Women’s North American and Women’s Speed Champion Sol Ruca revealed that she injured herself on last week’s SmackDown.
Ruca and Zaria were featured, challenging the Women’s Tag Team Champions, Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair.
Ruca was also scheduled to defend her North American Championship against Blake Monroe at Halloween Havoc on October 25, but that will not be possible due to her injury.
Monroe interrupted the segment, demanding the title be handed over to her. However, Zaria stepped up as Sol Ruca’s replacement, proposing to defend the title in her stead.
WWE made the match official for Saturday.
