What Excites Blake Monroe Being Part Of WWE

Blake Monroe is excited about being a WWE superstar.

When former AEW World Champion Mariah May decided to leave the company and join WWE, she was re-christened as Blake Monroe, who is a glamorous woman with a violent side.

Since joining the WWE NXT brand, Blake Monroe has engaged in a personal rivalry that saw them compete in a Weaponized Steel Cage Match at No Mercy, which Grace won.

Even though she lost the rivalry to Grace, Blake Monroe has bounced back just fine because she has her sights set on the NXT Women’s North American Title held by Sol Ruca.

At WWE Halloween Havoc on October 25th, Monroe will challenge Ruca for the NXT Women’s North American Title. The match was confirmed during SmackDown as Monroe appeared ringside to get in Ruca’s face during Ruca’s Tag Team Title match with Zaria against Women’s Tag Team Champions Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss. Flair capitalized on Monroe’s distraction to finish off Ruca with a Figure Eight to win the match.

Blake Monroe Is Excited By The WWE Roster

While speaking to TV Insider, Monroe spoke about how the diversity of the WWE roster is exciting to her.

I think the exciting thing about WWE is everybody has a different background. I train at the PC all week and you see a lot of athletes coming in, but you also see our current world champ Ricky Saints who came from the independents. Jordynne has been wrestling for, I don’t know how old that woman is, but she has been wrestling for a really long time.

We have girls coming in from Japan, Mexico. I think what is really exciting for me is I love getting in with people when we’re totally different. I’m thinking, “what am I going to learn from you, how are our styles going to match?”

You never know who you’re going to have that chemistry with. Jordynne definitely put me through really tough matches and pushed me to my limit. That’s because of her background and what she brings to the table. I would love to get in with Sol because her background is so different, but imagine that meeting my style of wrestling.

I think what is really cool is everyone has their own thing. We’re not all doing the same stuff. I think the more different you are and working together, that could tell a really great story.

Even though Blake Monroe has a lot of TV experience after working for AEW, she was more than happy to debut in NXT, instead of the WWE main roster.
