The Rock has been in the news lately, but not necessarily for the reasons he may want.

Yes, his upcoming movie, The Smashing Machine, received rave reviews at the Venice Film Festival, where he got a 15-minute standing ovation, bringing him to tears.

But his fans also seemed concerned by his considerable weight loss.

The Rock’s last WWE appearance was at the 2025 Elimination Chamber in March, where he appeared in his usual 270-280 lbs build.

Since then,, he has not stepped foot inside the squared circle, sparking speculations about his next return.

WWE personality, Sam Roberts of Notsam Wrestling, claims that The People’s Champion may have wrestled his last match at WrestleMania 40, where he teamed up with Roman Reigns to face Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins.

I’m not saying that I don’t think he’s ever gonna wrestle again, but I think that there’s a great possibility that WrestleMania 40 was The Rock’s last match and the fact that he put in 45 minutes, and like a great entertaining match is a lot. [3:18 onwards]

The Rock Urged To Retire From Wrestling

The Rock kept making sporadic appearances in WWE after his contract expired in 2004.

Be it his appearance as Hollywood Rock or someone who shut the Voice of the Voiceless or even The Final Boss, the 53-year-old reinvented his persona to keep the fans engaged.

The former 10-time World Champion is now said to be focusing on getting serious about his Hollywood career, having landed a role in the new Martin Scorsese film.

In the midst of discussions about his return, a former WWE star has urged The Rock to permanently retire from WWE.

While explaining his stand, Stevie Richards noted that he had achieved everything there was to achieve, and beyond, as he currently serves as a TKO member, too.

Meanwhile, The Brahma Bull has not addressed any reports, be it about him butting heads with Triple H or his weight loss.
