Chris Jericho’s wrestling legacy is one for the ages.

He has had multiple stints with WWE since debuting with them for the first time in 1999.

Jericho’s is one of the most talked about debuts in the Stamford promotion, wherein he shared the segment with The Rock.

Through the years, constantly reinvented his character while juggling between babyface and heel personas.

One of his most over gimmicks was that of “the list of Jericho,” which he carried to his future employer All Elite Wrestling, or at least a version of it called the Lexicon of Le Champion.

Chris Jericho is still signed with AEW despite not having appeared on TV since the April 9 Dynamite episode.

Amid his absence, Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer claimed that the AEW creative had no storyline for the Canadian superstar.

In the mean time, Jericho has made several public appearances, lost a bit of weight to look unrecognizable, and completed his band Fozzy’s tour.

More recently, Jericho liked a post which claimed that he was open to returning to WWE, igniting a serious discussion among wrestling fans about his current status and future with AEW.

Former Manager Thinks WWE Might Not Want Chris Jericho

While Chris Jericho has kickstarted talks about his WWE return among fans, one former manager believes that the Stamford company may not need him.

Dutch Mantell, during a recent episode of his podcast, stated that Jericho’s age was not on his side.

If it was me, I would say I’d be interested in him as an agent or a manager or some kind of a, you know, mouthpiece. But in the ring, I think his better days are behind him. And I think he’ll even tell you the same thing. At 54, you’re not the same guy you are when you’re 24 or 34 or even 44. [3:07 onwards]

According to a recent report from PWInsider, Chris Jericho has reached out to WWE about a potential return after his contract expires in December.
