Why Bron Breakker Wasn’t Drafted To WWE Main Roster Revealed

Bron Breakker

The 2023 WWE Draft changed the face of Raw and SmackDown once again as the main roster was shaken up again with major implications also felt for NXT, but with Bron Breakker missing out on a move this time around.

Many had expected that Breakker losing the NXT Championship to Carmelo Hayes at Stand & Deliver would lead to the second-generation star being moved to the main roster in the very near future. However, the WWE Draft came and went and Breakker’s name wasn’t mentioned.

Several NXT stars did get a move including NXT Women’s Champion Indi Hartwell who vacated her title as a result of her move to Monday Night Raw.

WRKD Wrestling has now reported that WWE originally had plans to draft Bron Breakker to the main roster but given his change of direction as a heel on NXT, the company felt it best to let that play out for now although the main roster is still in Breakker’s short-term future:

“Regarding Bron Breakker going undrafted; we’ve heard there were tentative plans to draft Bron to the main roster, but officials are so impressed w/ his heel persona, he remained in NXT to better cultivate his character. There are tentative plans to call him up after SummerSlam.”

Bron Breakker is set for a big title rematch against Hayes at NXT Battleground which takes place in Lowell, Massachusetts on May 28th.
