Uncle Howdy Potentially Linked To Former Four Horsemen Member?
The newest addition to Bray Wyatt’s carnival of characters, Uncle Howdy, could be linked to a WWE Hall of Famer.
On the latest WWE SmackDown, Bray Wyatt was in full flow on the microphone when he was interrupted by a masked figure on-screen who has been identified as ‘Uncle Howdy’. The figure ominously claimed that Wyatt would never be able to run away from him and said that the Eater of Worlds still needed a mask, a reference to his former Fiend persona.
The man behind the Uncle Howdy mask remains to be seen, but Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp quickly noticed similarities between the character and WWE Hall of Famer Barry Windham. Windham is an acclaimed performer in his own right and a former member of the infamous Four Horsemen, as well as the real-life uncle of Wyatt.

Since the segment aired, there has been a lot of speculation that Bo Dallas could be the person behind the new character. Dallas, who is Bray’s brother, has been rumoured to be returning to WWE for some time with it being reported he would be part of Wyatt’s return. Initially, it was thought he’d portray The Fiend, however, the rumour mill has now turned to Uncle Howdy.
Currently, besides his own demons, it is unclear who Wyatt will first feud with. Fightful Select recently detailed why WWE had decided against entering him into a story with Roman Reigns, noting that the company has learned a lesson from pushing Wyatt straight to the top, despite his proven popularity since returning.
