Truth Behind AEW Star’s Rumored Mexican Cartel Connection
A wrestling fan recently speculated about an AEW superstar belonging to a Mexican drug cartel.
In sports entertainment, such rumors can cause a negative impact, which is why it is important for wrestlers to quash them as soon as possible, and that’s what the talent did.
The wrestler in question is Andrade El Idolo, who left WWE on September 13 to rejoin his former employer by appearing on the October 1 Dynamite taping.
Since then, a legal issue has emerged between both promotions, with WWE accusing Andrade of breaching his no-compete clause. As a result, the 35-year-old has disappeared from taping for the foreseeable future.
In the midst of the contract commotion, a fan took to X, spreading a rumor that El Idolo may be involved in nationwide crime through a Mexican cartel.
The AEW star wasted no time in rubbishing the story, calling out the user for their absurd comment.
What?? Tranquilo amigo!!
Will everyone please stop making things up?! https://t.co/h4RYydNOKQ

Tony Khan Excited About Andrade’s Future In AEW
Amid confusion surrounding Andrade’s no-compete clause with WWE, AEW President Tony Khan expressed happiness at having him back on the roster.
He had previously addressed the contract dispute without getting into specifics, labeling El Idolo “a great wrestler.”
Khan also stated that he was excited to see what happened with Andrade next.
I have a ton of respect for him, and I can’t say much more other than to say that I’m very excited to see what happens next with Andrade.
I love the guy very much and I have a lot of respect for him.
