Trish Stratus Says Becky Lynch Feud Has Been “A Little Long”
Trish Stratus has reflected on her lengthy feud with Becky Lynch.
Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus have been at odds ever since Stratus replaced Lita as Lynch’s tag team partner to defend the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. Stratus lost the match and while Lynch remained sympathetic, the Canadian star attacked her partner, laying out Lynch.
That led to the two stars clashing at Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia but Stratus had an ace up her sleeve. NXT star Zoey Stark made her debut on the main roster to help Stratus win that match and Becky Lynch has not been happy ever since.
It was believed that a second match between the two stars would take place at SummerSlam but that bout was postponed until the 14th of August edition of Raw. That contest ended in a double count out and it was quickly revealed that the two would meet again in a Steel Cage match to likely settle the feud once and for all.
Trish Stratus wants to “cross paths with other people”
Speaking to the Post-Gazette, Trish Stratus spoke about her ongoing feud with Becky Lynch and says it’s maybe gone on a little long:
“I’m ready to finally put an end to all the time [Lynch has] wasted in my life. It’s a challenge. Am I a little scared of it? Yup. But that’s what drives me. … I’m going to prove to Becky that I’m the greatest of this generation by beating the greatest of her generation. We’ve had a good little run and it’s been really fun. But it’s been a little long. I’m ready to move on, do other things, and cross paths with other people.”
On the 21st of August edition of Raw in Quebec City, it was confirmed that Trish Stratus and Becky Lynch’s cage match will take place at Payback on the 2nd of September in Pittsburgh, PA which will hopefully settle things between the two women for good.
