WWE SmackDown has their new man after Jey Uso’s move to Raw.

SmackDown was a big night on the season premiere edition of the show with Triple H appearing on the blue brand and introducing former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis as the show’s new General Manager. That came after The Game also made Adam Pearce Raw GM.

Aldis’ first act as SmackDown General Manager was to complete the trade that had been left hanging ever since Cody Rhodes used his power and influence to get Jey Uso on Monday Night Raw after Uso walked out on SmackDown after his twin brother Jimmy turned on him at SummerSlam.

Kevin Owens was introduced and he came to the ring, dropping Dominik Mysterio – who had confronted Triple H beforehand – with a Stunner. Owens is now back on Friday nights and it looks like he’s left Sami Zayn behind on Raw.

What does the future hold for Kevin Owens on WWE SmackDown?

That could prove to be an interesting wrinkle moving forward as Rhodes was the one to get Uso on Raw and as both men are now Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions, they can appear on both shows while one possible potential contenders for their gold are now on separate brands.

WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns was seen backstage following Owens’ segment looking less than pleased that his old rival was now back on the same brand as The Tribal Chief.
