Top AEW Star In No Rush To Return To The Ring
An injured AEW is taking their time getting back in the ring.
It was reported back in August that Jay White is inching closer to a return to television. It was noted that the star attended a Dynamite taping to get assessed by AEW’s medical team, but at the time he wasn’t quite ready to be cleared.
There had also been hopes that White would appear at All In, but the event came and went without him. Despite this Switchblade is expected to return soon.
On October 2nd, AEW Dynamite will celebrate its fifth anniversary and it’s been heavily rumoured that the show would be the perfect place for White to reappear. However, things might not be that clear-cut.
AEW Star Juice Robinson Gives Update On Jay White
In a new interview with Liam Crowley of ComicBook, White’s tag team partner Juice Robinson suggested the star isn’t rushing to come back. But the question remains, is Robinson just trying to throw fans off the scent?
“Jay’s taking his time. Sometimes you got to take time in this business and come back better, and that’s what he’s doing. So of course, we’re excited for him to come back, because when all four of us are together, we feel like we are as strong as we can be, and we could take on any four wrestlers, any combination. We’re definitely, like everybody, looking forward to having King Switch back.”
On July 13, Jay White and The Gunns were stripped of the World Trios Titles due to an injury suffered by the former NJPW star. The champions wanted Juice Robinson to stand in for White, but the plot was blocked by Christopher Daniels.
White hasn’t wrestled since being defeated by Hangman Adam Page on July 6th.
