“The Rock Ain’t Who He Seems To Be” Says Ex-WWE Star

The Rock WWE

The Rock’s persona has been called into question by a former WWE star.

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is one of the most celebrated pro wrestlers of all time and he has parlayed that success to become one of the biggest names in Hollywood, starring in several blockbuster films. He is also known for his acts of charity and kindness that have seen him buy homes and cars for family and those that have helped him during his career. He was recently lauded by Bray Wyatt’s sister for his acts of generosity in the aftermath of Wyatt’s passing.

But not everyone shares the same positive picture of The People’s Champion.

Speaking on the Two Man Power Trip Of Wrestling podcast, former WWE Intercontinental Champion Ahmed Johnson detailed a disagreement he had with The Rock and says the Hollywood star might be putting up a front:

“About who’s going to go over and what we were gonna do to get to that point where I beat him up and pin him. He didn’t like some of my ideas. I didn’t like his ideas. There was a locker room incident. I don’t really want to say what it was. The Rock, he ain’t who he seems to be. He’s not all that smiling and handshaking that people think he is. I’ve seen him be very rude to some of the fans. Very rude.”

When did The Rock last wrestle in WWE?

The Rock’s last advertised match came at WrestleMania 29 in 2013 when he lost the WWE Championship to John Cena. The bout marked the second year in a row that the two men had headlined WrestleMania with Cena losing the previous year.

The eight-time WWE Champion did compete again at WrestleMania 32 in an impromptu match against Erick Rowan after he had been surrounded by The Wyatt Family. The Rock defeated Rowan in just six seconds in front of the biggest WrestleMania crowd of all time.
