The Rock Recalls WrestleMania 32 Moment With Bray Wyatt

The Rock has shared his memories of working with the late, great Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 32 in Dallas.

At WrestleMania 32 in 2016, WWE had their biggest crowd ever at AT&T Stadium in Dallas. Going into WrestleMania 32, there were complaints from fans about how Bray Wyatt and the Wyatt Family (with Braun Strowman & Erick Rowan at that time because Luke Harper was injured) weren’t in a match on the show, but they were involved in the show.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson made a surprising (yet expected) entrance to a huge ovation to announce the attendance in the building: 101,763 people.

As The Rock stood in the ring, The Wyatt Family entered as AT&T Stadium was full of “fireflies” to welcome Bray. The Rock put over Wyatt saying he’s got it all – the ability, the charisma, he’s a revolutionary and talked about how 100,000 people had their phones out for him. Wyatt said he was there to kick down a door and that Rock had no idea who he was fooling with.

This would lead to a confrontation that saw The Rock beat Rowan in a match that involved a simple Rock Bottom for the pinfall win. It went six seconds.

After the “match” was over, John Cena arrived to help The Rock. They dominated the Wyatt Family while Rock hit Wyatt with a spinebuster and the People’s Elbow as the crowd celebrated.

The Rock Calls Bray Wyatt An “Incredible Shining Star”

It’s been a sad few days for the wrestling world because of the death of former WWE & Universal Champion Bray Wyatt (Windham Rotunda), who passed away at the age of 36. The Rock already shared his thoughts on the tragic death, but this time he decided to say more.

On Instagram, The Rock recalled his in-ring segment with Bray Wyatt and The Wyatt Family at WrestleMania 32 seven years ago.

You will be missed, my friend.
Deeply missed 🕊️ 💔

Im heartbroken for the Rotunda family over Windham Rotunda’s (Bray Wyatt) passing.

What an incredible shining star he was in our squared circle 💫

I LOVED his presence, promos, in ring work and most importantly – his connection with the @wwe universe.

Bray Wyatt was a very unique, cool, rare, ORIGINAL and AUTHENTIC character — which is actually very hard to create in our crazy world of pro wrestling.

Very few have done it.
Bray was one of them.

So at WRESTLEMANIA 32 – in front of the largest crowd in WWE HISTORY – 101,763 rabid @wwe universe fans…

Bray and I, decided to GO FOR IT and “test the waters” to see how the crowd would react to a potential ROCK vs BRAY WYATT future WrestleMania match.

Needless to say, we got our answer 🤯⚡️🏟️

My love, strength and mana to the Wyndham family.
Love you guys and stay strong.

As always,

Bray….”thank you for the house’
