Roman Reigns WWE Schedule Update
Roman Reigns is the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion that works a limited schedule, so here’s an update on when we’ll see him again.
Earlier in 2022, Reigns agreed to a new WWE contract that would limit the number of dates that he would work. That meant fewer live events as well as fewer TV appearances even though he holds WWE’s top two titles. Reigns is also the father of five children (including two sets of young twin boys), so he has spoken about wanting to be home for his family.
The last time Reigns wrestled on television was when he defeated Drew McIntyre at Clash at the Castle on September 4th in Cardiff, Wales thanks to Solo Sikoa making his main roster debut. The next match that Reigns is advertised for is at WWE Crown Jewel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia when Reigns will defend his two titles against Logan Paul, who will be competing in just his third WWE match.
In an update on the future appearances of Reigns, PWInsider’s Mike Johnson has provided some clarity for shows that Reigns is advertised for in October and November leading into Crown Jewel on November 5th and Survivor Series on November 26th in Boston. These are the dates that Reigns is scheduled for:
October 28th Smackdown in St. Louis, MO. This might be a double taping because there is no Smackdown event scheduled for November 4th because Crown Jewel is the next night. Normally, WWE superstars fly to Saudi Arabia shows a few days early, so that’s why it will likely be a double taping.
November 11th Smackdown in Indianapolis, IN.
November 18th Smackdown in Hartford, CT.
It was noted by Johnson that Reigns is not booked for the November 21st Raw in Albany or the November 25th Smackdown in Providence, which are the last shows before Survivor Series.
As always, when it comes to a wrestler being advertised for a show, plans can and will change. Sometimes a wrestler will also appear on a show unadvertised like Brock Lesnar on the October 10th edition of Raw.
While nothing specific is advertised for Survivor Series yet, WWE is promoting the first Men’s & Women’s WarGames matches on the main roster. WWE’s Chief Content Officer Triple H stated they will be storyline driven. Considering Reigns leads The Bloodline group with five active wrestlers (Jimmy & Jey Uso, Solo Sikoa, and Sami Zayn), it is possible that they could be part of the WarGames match.
Reigns last appeared on WWE TV on the October 10th Raw when he instructed Sami Zayn to keep a close eye on Jey Uso, who Reigns called a “hothead.” Roman’s Crown Jewel opponent Logan Paul is advertised for the October 21st edition of Smackdown while Reigns is not.
