Working Plan For Mercedes Mone’s AEW Debut Revealed
According to a new report, Mercedes Mone will be debuting in AEW very soon.
On the January 31st episode of AEW Dynamite, it was confirmed that Tony Khan will be making a huge announcement on February 7th. While Khan is no stranger to making announcements on Dynamtie, this one has attracted significant attention as many believe both Mercedes Mone and Kazuchika Okada will be All Elite in the near future.
However, according to a new report via Fightful Select, sources wouldn’t confirm that Mone’s signing would be “outright mentioned” as part of the announcement.
Meanwhile, several talents and people close to Mone have revealed that the working plan is for her to physically appear for the company in March, likely after Revolution. Although it should be noted there’s no word on when she’ll make her in-ring debut.
This tallies with an earlier report from PWInsider that noted Mone would be back working in wrestling in the United States in March.
Fightful also disputed an earlier report which claimed Mercedes Mone’s signing was meant to be announced on Collision but was pushed back.
Mercedes Mone Has Been Signed To AEW “For Weeks”
WWE and AEW have been in something of a tug-of-war for Mone’s signature but by January 29th, the former knew they were set to miss out.
In fact, WWE sources and AEW talent believe that Mone has been All Elite for a number of weeks already. But, it should be noted that this hasn’t been confirmed in an official capacity.
