MJF Reveals How He’s Unified AEW Locker Room

MJF AEW

MJF believes that the AEW locker room is unified even though he admits that not a lot of people talk to him.

During the five plus year run of All Elite Wrestling, the company has had a lot of success as a wrestling company, but they have also got a lot of negative press. That negative press has been due to numerous backstage fights featuring big names as well as several people getting suspended over the years.

While some people might want to focus on those negatives, the reality is that AEW boss Tony Khan believes that a major announcement is coming soon for AEW that is one of the “most important announcements” in AEW history.

As the longest reigning and youngest AEW World Champion, Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF) has been All Elite since day one and is arguably the biggest star in the company while holding the AEW American Championship.

In an interview with Wrestletalk, MJF spoke about how close the AEW locker room is right now while claiming that they are unified in hating him.

“I’m going to be totally transparent here. I don’t feel this is me breaking the fourth wall at all, which is why when ‘things get leaked.’ It’s unfortunate because 99.99999% of the time it’s not true or completely blown out of proportion. The locker room has never been tighter. It’s never been a better work environment. This is based on everything I’ve been told.”

“Nobody talks to me or hangs out with me, and I like it that way. It seems like everyone is unified, not just in hating me, but they all seem to be getting along. It seems like a genuine team effort right now and it seems like everybody believes in All Elite Wrestling and is trying to push All Elite Wrestling further.”

MJF Addresses AEW’s Upcoming Big Announcement

As for the big announcements that AEW has planned, MJF addressed those as well while mentioning how successful All Elite Wrestling is as a company.

“We are very close, from what I understand, in getting an answer on whether or not we’re going to get a major amount of money thrown our way from Turner. If we do, we are looking at the most successful professional wrestling company, besides WWE, ever. Why is that not spoken about? I’ll tell you why. That’s not how you guys make money. That’s not me throwing shade.”

“I’m a star, I’m one of the biggest names in the industry, that’s a fact, because I’m a little bit of a lightning rod and a little bit controversial. What is controversial about you guys saying, ‘If they get this TV deal, they are literally the second most successful wrestling company that has ever existed’?”

Regarding those previously mentioned backstage incidents in AEW, MJF claims his recent argument with Britt Baker was overblown. Baker was suspended for the incident while MJF has been regularly featured on AEW television as one of the company’s biggest stars.
